Are there any pro players who are colourblind? What about you regular players?

I am colourblind and just wanted to know. I sometimes have problem making out which creeps are mine and which are not even after turing colourblind mode on.

Only suggestion I can think of to help would be getting some of the custom creeps and having them as your chosen creeps in match because they don't look similar like the default ones. Hope that is helpful.

I will try that.

I would also recommend using other creeps as that helps a bunch.
Also, high five, colourless brother, what's your deficiency? :)

Red green. Yours? I mean normally I can make our bright red and bright green but while gaming it sucks.

Red-green as well but a severe one. I often mistake one for another but if I inspect something for long enough I could see the difference (only problem is that with fast-paced games like Dota or FPS games you don't have that kind of luxury.)

Did you encounter the same difficulties playing other games?
One of the most memorable for me was early PUBG where I saw no difference from blood splatter and dirt going up from shots so I never knew if I hit that long range shot or not :D

Yes. When I play COD, my party's names are shown in green on top of their head, the enemy's in red. Most of the times I mistakenly shoot my friends while playing.

There is colorblind filters in COD. You can filter the effects to work only on HUD pieces or you can filter it to have it applied to even the in-game world. Its pretty nice colorblind options.

I have applied that. It does not make that much of a difference.

Yeah, that's a bad one :D

The thing is, I read in an interview with some dev that they don't go an extra mile with the colourblind mode as it would give an edge to people with normal sight as well and that's a no-no in competitive gaming so they either make it colourblind friendly from the start or they don't so at all.

I see. That means we are doomed no matter what. Can't get driving license, can't be a pilot.

Or join the army, police, anything related with the electricity or house installationa...hell, even my programming IDE screws with my head with the colours :D

Either way, stay strong brother and good luck in your upcoming games!

Same to you, bro. Good luck and have an amazing life.

I think matu is. Whenever he streams (very rarely) he has DotA on colorblind mode

Wow. Did not know that.

Now that's true.
