Scooby-Doo Miniatures?

by Numbuh1Nerd. Posted on Aug 02, 2020    12    16

I just got Betrayal at Mystery Mansion, and those standees just will not do. I can't find any proper miniatures (the only ones sold professionally seem to be permanently out of stock) and the only official toys I could find in that scale are extremely expensive in the aftermarket, so I'm looking for any other reasonable option. Are there any commonly used sources I'm not aware of? Common techniques for from-the-ground-up custom miniatures? Even pre-existing 3D models for Mystery Inc that I could print? I'm open to just about every option at this point!

UPDATE: I found the Polly Pocket train figures for sale individually on eBay, and have opted to buy them and and make some resin replicas for anyone else looking for those meddling kids and their dog to play with!

I’m in the same boat but I don’t mind the gang cutouts. I’m more interested in finding 3D stls of the villains. I’d rather print them out than use the small tokens. Overall my son is really enjoying the game, they did a nice job.

Ever had that odd realization that in the show the only people breaking the law was Scooby doo and the gang. It’s not illegal to dress like a ghost and scare people off your property. It’s just an odd thing to do.

Scooby Doo Betrayal just came out this week

Hasslefree Miniatures does very nice metal and resin miniatures of all sorts of pop culture stuff with the serial numbers filed off. That includes both a standard Scooby Gang and a sort of post-apocalyptic badass version. Both currently marked as out of stock but it'd be worth emailing to ask - they're a small business and not always great at keeping their website up to date.

A general warning when browsing HF's site - they do do a lot of NSFW miniatures. Nothing obscene or offensive but lots of nakedness.

Might try your luck at opening a bunch of these but they would still be to big.

I would just hold out and watch for some 3d printed STL files to pop up or something.

I was looking for a set of the Monopoly pieces that are busts of the characters, but they dried up around the time this game released.

(there's clue ones also, but they're dressed up as Clue characters. Monopoly is them in their regular duds)

When I was a kid, I remember seeing miniature train playsets of Scooby-Doo. Those miniatures from it would be the perfect size.

They really would! Trouble is, that train set was discontinued years ago and is at least $100 in the aftermarket now.

It got a Scrappy Doo figurine in it, it's ruined.

Nah, he'd be perfect for when the traitor is revealed

Idk if they will get them back in stock but you can always email and ask:

Meddling Kids

They should be 28mm scale

Edit: they also have them individually but are sold out of “Wolsey”

I can't believe I didn't check to see if they sold them individually! They're Shaggy-lacking is certainly a big problem, but maybe buying the rest of them and waiting on Shaggy to get restocked is a good long-term plan 🤔

FightingForty 3

Ahh of course the classic Gang and dog lol

There are some pretty great Scooby Doo LEGO sets.
