Single player recommendations?

I am after some games I can play when my first child arrives (in between the feeding, nappy changing etc !). Large, single player games that can be played at a leisurely pace and that have a lot of content. Thanks in advance!

Hellblade is worth a play through, combat mechanics are nothing special but it’s nice and short with a good story. Make sure you have a headset for it

If you like Lord of the rings, Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War are pretty fun, and you don't have to do the quests, you can just run around slaughtering orcs and gaining powers, but the storyline is pretty good.

I’ve got and finished both but I wouldn’t mind playing through both again

Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Witcher 3 would be my recommendations. Huge world's, lots of varied content and hours of play. I have well over 100 hours into each and still haven't hit 100 percent completion.

I’ve completed The Witcher 3 but would definitely play it again.

RDR2 I haven’t touched properly yet. I’ll give this a proper go.

Borderlands 2, just cause 4, far cry 4 and 5

The Yakuza games. They have a ton of content and you can save and pause basically whenever and personally I've been having a blast with them.

Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami especially if you have Game Pass

Assassins Creedy odyssey, or origins. Witcher 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2. Can't lose with any.

TheyCallMeFam 2

mafia 2 is good, it’s not massive but it’s one of my favourites

  GeraldUltair 1

Is that offline?

TheyCallMeFam 2

yeah nothing online about it, it’s also backwards compatible

Keep in mind there are two versions of that game now: The original 360 version and the Definitive Edition which comes with all DLC. I can't recommend which one to get, but I can say if you want to get the 360 version, you could wait for 2K to have a publisher sale if you're interested in getting it for a lower price.

oh yeah, forgot about that lol
